We are a robotics team with members ranging from 11 to 14 years old. We live in São Paulo-SP, in the Jaguaré neighborhood, a relatively poor and violent area. The team emerged in 2015 from the Slipk Lego team division in two: Lego Masters and Grifinória. Before being called Lego Masters we had the name One Single Angel. Our NGO did not agree with the name and we had to change it, thus becoming Lego Masters, name chosen because we have the desire to become great master builders. We had comings and goings of students for a variety of reasons, but we held our ground and prepared for our first tournament: SESI FLL World Skills Robotic Festival, an unique experience that awakened our passion for this new world before us. For the rest of 2015 and 2016 we went to other tournaments and over time we gained experience, knowledge and maturity as a team, including winning some prizes and qualifying us for other stages. We had the chance to take part of incredible moments, such as being interviewed for a magazine, going to a beach for the very first time, staying in a hotel for the very first time, visiting a farm, traveling to Santos and Rio de Janeiro and much more. We still lost more members, but friendship, loyalty and the love for science and technology prevailed. We lost our home at the end of 2016, but because of our ties and faith in our work, we were able to rise again from the ashes and bind ourselves to a new NGO, even more modest than the previous one. Today we are only 4 warriors and our teacher working as a volunteer, everyone fighting for the ideas we believe. In the midst of so many lessons and situations we laughed and cried together and God gave us the opportunity to continue. We have already a story, but we want more, because we know that friendships need to be valued and that the experiences that we live and those that are still to come will be forever inside us. We seek to follow the values of FLL and so we decided to keep on facing the challenges that a robotics team brings to us.
