Team TIWOL (The Incredible World of LEGO®s) is made up of two friends, Bobby Brooks and Nicolas Cazzaniga. Bobby is fifteen and in his sophomore year at Brookfield High School, in Brookfield CT. He brings a vivid imagination to all he does, whether it be an art or science related project. That same creativity often leads him to address tough challenges to meet his objectives, but he sees creating solutions as part of the fun. This has led him to a love for learning and an interest in the world of engineering. He has had some experience with robotics, having participated on his school’s 1099 robotics team, and having now taken two semesters of a robotics program. Nicolas is thirteen and entering into his freshman year at Bethel High School in Bethel CT. Since an early age, and continuing still through his Boy Scout activities, Nicolas has always loved exploring nature, from its bugs to all animals and plants, and has brought this passion to a love of all science. The study of nature strongly influences his creativity and the designs he brings to the table when addressing problems, driving him to find unique solutions to engineering challenges. Combine that with a love of LEGO®s and it is no surprise that Nicolas is a veteran at LEGO® robotics, having participated in 4 First®LEGO® competitions, and has attended two summer robotics programming courses as well. Luigi Cazzaniga is acting Team Captain. At a venerable 49 years of age, he is a chemical engineer by training, and a veteran First®LEGO® assistant as well.
